TAPE 1: I think this tape is kinda a shout out to GURU, R.I.P its important to reflect on hip hip, so tape one gives you some old school and some RZA. For me RZA is a must, I might put him in every tape. Then the Florence and The Machine is perfect for fall– gotta tell you kids if I had her vocals–pshhh forget this Art Station sh*t, I’d be rocking a stage every night, drinking the Jameson daily like a TRUE lady and making out with boys on a global level. But, anyway, I don’t, so thats that. And FINALLY a Mac Miler song I like, otherwise I am not a fan oh him. Who agrees with me on that? Most of this is stuff is stuff I’d jog to, this is a good jogging over the Williamsburg Bridge tape. Oh, and lastly Patrick Sweany is NICE, sings well and in good time to the guitar cords, thick muddy humbucker pick ups with a single coil sound. I think it reminds me too much of the Black Keys but that’s okay, I love the Black Keys, yet no surprise he produced PS’s album . Wait, and also Birdy is pretty sound and the Santigold cover kinda just gives me a little closure because hearing it smoothed out lets me lay to rest how annoying the original is… so there you have it “internets” please send me your suggestions for MIX TAPE 2!!!!!
